Hi. I'm Dan.

This is weird. I'm not used to writing in general, and I am definitely not used to writing about myself. I'll try to not make it awkward.

I'm a nerd who lives in Calgary, AB Canada, and I strangely don't work in or for a oil & gas company, even though I count a lot of them as my clients.

I am an avid cyclist (#Denise), tabletop gamer as well as being an entirely mediocre landscape photographer. I think you could have a healthy debate about which I was born with in my hands, a set of dice, a pair of Shimano SPD pedals or a camera. Compelling cases could be make for all sides.

Aside from the big 3, I have a few other hobbies that keep my busy in what spare time I have between work and life. I'm currently (for the last 5 years) learning some basic woodworking skills so that I can refnish a few pieces my Grandfather built in the '60s. It's a slow process. I'd also like to learn how to fish, because fish is delicious.

Oh yeah, I'm a dad. My kids rules, yours drools. Well, mine drools too, but that's mostly because his mom is a great cook. She won't make us fish though. Weird.

Anyway, this is my strange little corner of the web. Have a look around. I'm currently gainfully employed, but like all smart kids these days I'm keeping my options open.
